Thank you for visiting my website. I am an experienced consultant Endocrinologist with particular areas of expertise in the management of obesity, type 2 diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome.
I work at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, where I lead the weight management service and support endocrine and diabetes care.
In addition, I also have a private practice at the Winfield Hospital in Gloucestershire.
I have had extensive training in Endocrinology and Diabetes at Kings College Hospital in London and the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism.
My consultant career started at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading in 2001. There, I established the obesity and bariatric service, transforming it into a regional referral centre, and created a special clinic for women with PCOS and led innovative projects like the virtual thyroid clinic and the endocrine e-book.
In 2012, I relocated to Abu Dhabi to work at the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre. As the Medical Lead for the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Centre, I introduced the Diabetes Remission service, the first of its kind in the UAE. I returned to the UK in 2021.
I’ve written numerous papers and textbook chapters, including contributions to the Oxford Handbook for Diabetes and Endocrinology. I frequently present at national and international conferences and am the author of “Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (The Facts).”
I was elected to the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 2003. In addition, I am SCOPE certified by the World Obesity Federation and am a European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) National fellow.
I am committed to providing the best care possible to my patients and believe in a holistic approach, involving patients in creating a personalised care plan that suits their needs.
