Dr Mohgah Elsheikh, Consultant in Diabetes, Obesity and Endocrinology

 

 

Thank you for visiting my website. I am a senior Consultant in Diabetes, Obesity and Endocrinology at Gloucestershire NHS Foundation Trust and also see private patients at the Winfield Hospital in Gloucester.

My particular areas of expertise are weight management, type 2 diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome.

I have had extensive training in Endocrinology and Diabetes at Kings College Hospital in London and the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism prior to my first consultant post in 2001. Additionally, I have over 15 years of experience in weight management and metabolic medicine.

I am SCOPE certified by the World Obesity Federation and am a European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) National Clinical Fellow.

I have authored several papers and textbook chapters, including in the Oxford Handbook for Diabetes and Endocrinology, the author of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (The Facts) and regularly present at both national and international conferences.

Importantly, I am passionate about helping people living with excess weight improve their health through weight management and strive to provide a compassionate, personalised approach to the care of my patients.
